Ms. Gibson joined Simmons & Ungar LLP in 2000.  Although she practices in all areas of immigration for clients in a broad range of industries, Ms. Gibson has extensive experience in the areas of TNs, H-1s, O-1s, labor certification applications, and outstanding researcher/extraordinary ability petitions, as well as within the biotechnology and information technology industries.     

Ms. Gibson graduated cum laude from the University of California's Hastings College of the Law in 1998.  While in law school, Ms. Gibson interned at a nonprofit immigrant legal services center and clerked at a prestigious San Francisco immigration firm.  From 1998 to 2000, she served as Research Fellow and Coordinating Attorney of the Expedited Removal Study, an immigration-related public policy study funded by the Ford and Joyce Mertz-Gilmore foundations.    

Ms. Gibson is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  She serves as a mentor for the pro bono asylum program of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and enjoys representing individuals and families with family-based immigration and naturalization applications and petitions.   

Ms. Gibson is fluent in Spanish and has traveled throughout Mexico and Central America.
