The Department of State has announced that effective July 9, 2010 its reciprocity schedule for China has been amended to allow for a 12 month multiple entry visa for H visa applicants. Previously, the period of time for H visas for Chinese nationals was limited to 3 months. This change applies to all H visas, including H-1B and H-4 visas. A Cable confirming this change has been forwarded by the Department of State to diplomatic and consular posts. The Department of State’s reciprocity schedule controls the permissible duration of visas issued by US Consulate’s to foreign nationals at posts around the world.
