The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in cooperation with the Social Security Administration (SSA) is now offering individuals an opportunity to check their records through E-Verify. This means that, before applying for a job, workers can discover inaccuracies in the DHS and SSA records and submit corrections. This option is now available to individuals residing in Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Mississippi, Virginia and the District of Columbia. To access this service, go to www.uscis.gov/everify.
