The State Department has announced that it has voided the 2012 Visa Lottery results that were posted on its website in the first week of May 2011. Apparently, there was a computer error that prevented a true random selection. The State Department will again go through the selection process to pick the Visa Lottery winners from those applications submitted between October 5 and November 3, 2010. No new applications will be accepted. The State Department expects the new results will be available around July 15, 2011.
