USCIS Proposes Filing Fee Raises

The USCIS has published a notice in the Federal Register that it proposes to raise the filing fees for most immigration petitions or applications. The steepest fee raises for commonly filed petitions/applications are for the I-90 – Replacement of Permanent Resident Card (26%), the I-140 - Petition for Employment Based Permanent Resident Classification (22%), the I-694 – Notice of Appeal (39%) and the N-600 – Application for a Certificate of Citizenship (30%). Comments by the public are due 45 days from today’s date. The fee increases are NOT final. The fee schedule shows the proposed fees with or without supplemental appropriations.
